Luvchina's One-Man Nationalist Fatwa
Somebody really, really cares about me! And he's been nice enough to write a rambling, semi-psychotic diatribe all about me. Think I'm joking?
Well, he cares thiiiiiiiis much:
I'll let you check out the post for yourselves. Needless to say it's not a development I can really welcome... but I suppose it's a badge of honor, of sorts.
I've almost certainly dealt with this person before as a commenter. He's likely a Chinese person living in the United States. The dork uses various names on this site, including "tctdh", "sogdia", and "oldwiseman". His blog on sina.com mostly focuses on pictures of his sister (a flight attendant on Air New Zealand) with Chinese celebrities, rants against France, and... a vaguely homoerotic display of Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao photos. Hundreds of them.
Really, you should check it out, if only to peer into the mind of a Chinese ultra-nationalist for just a moment. (And yes, that background in the screen grab above is for real.)
Oh yeah... vote for me in the 2008 China Blog Awards! Just click here, and then click the "+" symbol. Do it everyday.

Seriously,if the Chinese blog guy loves China so much, why dosen't he get his ass back to his country?
I read the blog and I still do not know how, in which page Michael tried to circulate a false rumor "to incite the hatred between minorities and Han people in China".
Someone need to be accused is not Michael but is NYT or AFP if he knew something had fabricated.
...and more

Michael,
Every country has a whole bunch of stupid person, but I don't even think this guy is stupid, he is a dork as you said.
The question is how many of those dorks really understand Xinjiang, truly love Xinjiang, actually live in Xinjiang? I am Han, but I know how biased some Hans are outside Xinjiang.
I follow your blog for a long time. Your blog has become an alternative to approach my home province, especially your historical entry. Most people in China today don't even bother to carefully examine the history by themselves since they are used to believe what they've been told.
I should say I fully SUPPORT what you do and what you write. Just ignore those dorks and don't let them bother you. Your good work deserve my applause!!!
The comment above was posted by Leong at December 12, 2008 11:21 PM unofficial Xinjiang time.
OK, forst off, just to do the little poke at Batshit: "The US government and its NGOs..." OK, let's see, the definition of an NGO... BY god! The man is a retard!
But really, I find it amusing how Batshit's opinions are reflected in the very comment sections over here. I mean, you have the poor gender confused soul writing about five posts, one after another, echoing the sentiment. But I guess they have a point. Why should we believe Michael on his own feelings? Clearly, the posts lovingly extolling the lamb kababs, the recent trip, the fact he, from the frozen wasteland of New England, chose to spend several years there...no, the evidence clearly points to him hating Xinjiang.
I love it how the ultra-nationalists here never consider that the PRC government policy might now actually be helping promote harmony.
The comment above was posted by Tiako at December 13, 2008 02:29 AM unofficial Xinjiang time.
Oh, by the way guys, Michael totally works for the CIA. They pay him money, and he hires Uighurs to bomb police stations. What, you think ETIM was behind the rash of terrorist attacks? No, that was all Michael and his CIA backers.
Also, the earthquake? Totally the US. Yeah.
The comment above was posted by Tiako at December 13, 2008 02:32 AM unofficial Xinjiang time.
To leyi and yong :
1) In 2008, with the official version of pinyin supported by Mao Zedong, we say Xinjiang and not Sinkiang.
2) Xinjiang is not a country, neither a province. It is an autonomous region of the People's Republic of China.
Please only write about subjects that you truly master. Otherwise, people will think that you are losing face...
The comment above was posted by Zhongtang at December 13, 2008 03:31 AM unofficial Xinjiang time.
Zhongtang, did read the gender confused poster's posts? Do you really think s/he cares about looking stupid?
Also, yeah. I've decided to get mean here. I won't directly insult when I am attacked, and am unlikely to do so when another poster is attacked. But seriously, Michael puts a good deal of effort into this blog. We should treat him nicely.
The comment above was posted by Tiako at December 13, 2008 04:48 AM unofficial Xinjiang time.
This is a milestone! Celebrate!
The comment above was posted by Porfiriy at December 13, 2008 07:04 AM unofficial Xinjiang time.
Wow! What a beautiful piece of late night insanity. This 'dork' certainly doesn't spend much time looking at issues from more than one angle, that is other than the crazy conspiracy angle.
Two things to say. First, is this guy under the impression that you were flying back and forth between Korla and the US every week? Why does he bring up the teacher's salary anyway? I mean it's not like a teacher's salary lets you do that, but regardless who would want to fly back to the states every week when you live in China?
Second, I too see the homoerotic nature of the Hu Jintao & Wen Jiabao pictures on his blog. Maybe not what he was going for and those two certainly aren't my type but it's just nice to see the word homoerotic used to describe a Chinese blog.
The comment above was posted by J at December 13, 2008 09:57 AM unofficial Xinjiang time.

United States Test Sites
Nevada Test Site, Nevada
Established by President Truman in 1951 and now operated by the Department of Energy, the Nevada Test Site (NTS) has been the site of over 900 atmospheric and underground nuclear tests. The Nevada Test Site was the primary testing location of American nuclear devices; 126 tests were conducted elsewhere (many at the Pacific Proving Grounds in the Marshall Islands). On July 17, 1962 the last atmospheric test detonation occurred at the Nevada Test Site. Underground testing continued until September 23, 1992.
(37.016535°N, 116.029186°W)
Trinity Site, New Mexico
Trinity Site is where the first atomic bomb was tested at 5:29:45 a.m. Mountain War Time on July 16, 1945. The site was part of the Alamogordo Bombing Range, now the White Sands Missile Range.
(33.674997°N, 106.47666°W)
Eniwetok Atoll, Marshall Islands
Some 43 nuclear tests were detonated at Enewetak from 1948 to 1958. The first hydrogen bomb test, code-named Mike, was tested on November 1, 1952. The explosion vaporized the island of Elugelab.
(11.552561, 162.347303°E)
Bikini Atoll, Marshall Islands
Administered by the United States, this island was first used for nuclear testing during Operation Crossroads in 1946. On March 1, 1954, Bikini Atoll was also the site of the largest U.S. nuclear test ever exploded. The Bravo test had a yield of 15 megatons, 3 times the planned yield.
(11.5833333°N, 165.3833333°E)
Johnston Island, United States Minor Outlying Islands
Site of 12 high-altitude nuclear tests during the late 1950's and early 1960's. It is administered by the United States.
(16.730002°N, 169.529128°W)
Christmas Island, Kiribati
Used for British and American nuclear testing in the 1950's and early 1960's. Site of the first British thermonuclear detonation on November 8, 1957. The USA conducted 22 successful nuclear detonations as part of Operation Dominic here in 1962.
(1.844011°N, 157.70462°W)
Amchitka Island, Alaska
Amchitka Island was the site for three underground nuclear tests. The first test, Long Shot (1965), was designed to determine whether the blast's shock waves could be distinguished from earthquakes. Milrow, the second (1969), and Cannikin (1971) were part of the U.S. anti-ballistic missile development program. Cannikin had a yield "under 5 megatons", the largest underground test ever conducted by the United States. Amchitka is no longer used for nuclear testing.
(51.378853°N, 179.258423°E)
Fallon, Nevada
The Shoal event was part of the VELA UNIFORM program. It was intended to produce a better understanding of the seismic detection of underground nuclear explosions.
(39.200001°N, 118.381001)
Central Nevada Test Area, Nevada
Project Faultless detonation, a nuclear weapons test conducted on January 19, 1968. The nearly 1-megaton yield was detonated at a depth of 3,200 feet below the surface. This area is also known as the Central Nevada Test Area.
(38.634220°N, 116.216179°W)
Carlsbad, New Mexico
Project GNOME was the first nuclear explosion to be used for peaceful purposes. It's goal was to explore the possibility of converting heat produced by a nuclear explosion into steam for the production of electric power.
(32.26372°N, 103.866152°W)
Green Valley, Colorado
The aim of Project Rulison was to determine if natural gas could be easily liberated from underground regions. The test had a yield of 43-kilotons. After the test, the natural gas that was extracted was determined to be too radioactive to be sold commercially.
(39.487085°N, 107.95166°W)
Rifle, Colorado
The Rio Blanco test site had three simultaneously detonated 30 kiloton bombs, each at the bottom of a shaft more than a mile deep. The blast was marginally successful in causing the gas to collect in the cavity and fissures produced by the bombs, however the gas was too radioactive to be sold commercially.
(37.978845°N, 108.303223°W)
Farmington, New Mexico
This was the site of the first U.S. underground nuclear experiment for the stimulation of low productivity gas resources. On December 10, 1967 a 29 kiloton nuclear explosive was detonated at a depth of 4222 feet. The GASBUGGY shot was part of the overall Operation PLOWSHARE (Atoms for Peace) program.
(36.677876°N, 107.20794°W)
Hattiesburg, Mississippi
Two nuclear detonations performed in a subterranean salt dome formation, as part of a 1960's Atomic Energy Commission Test. The first detonation, to form the cavity, code-named Salmon, took place in 1964 using a 5.3 kiloton bomb, placed at the bottom of a sealed 2,710-foot shaft. The second nuclear blast, a relatively small 0.38 kilotons yield shot code-named Sterling, was exploded within Salmon's 110-foot diameter cavity more than two years later.
(31.334871°N, 89.450684°W)
Open Sea, South Atlantic Ocean
Three high-altitude nuclear weapons tests, name Operation Argus, were conducted between August and September of 1958. The tests were designed to see if high-altitude nuclear detonations would create a radiation belt in the extreme upper regions of the Earth's atmosphere.
(48.5°S, 8.2°W)
Open Sea, Eastern Pacific Ocean
Operation Wigwam consisted of a single nuclear detonation on May 14, 1955. It was a deep water test to investigate the vulnerability of submarines to deep nuclear weapons, and the feasibility of using depth bombs in combat.

Sure, this guy could be working for CIA, but we don't have concrete evidence. At least from my observance, this Michael guy is not as stupid and ignorant as most Americans (westerns). He is much better informed than his countrymen back in U ASS A.
What we should be after are the Uighur terrorists. Crack down on them, relentlessly. Whenever they kill 1 Han Chinese, we should kill 10 Uighurs in retaliation. Because Uighurs are dirty and cheap.

homoerotic display? calling the leaders of china..a country that you love gays? what a homophobe!
then..you start with his rant about france but you failed to take into account that he only hates sarkozy..wow..such logic...i just spent 40 minutes reading the blog entries and i would hardly call him nationalistic since in several of his entries he has criticised the corruption and obnoxious behavious displayed by the local chinese government
he promotes both the good and bad of china as well as the good and the bad of the world
i say read all of his blog entries and if you have time...make a contact and maybe ask him to remove his entry..i'm sure he will if you can show some 'friendliness?'

维吾尔人斋月中共禁止封斋 强迫进食(博讯北京时间2008年9月07日 转载)
http://www.peacehall.com/news/gb/china/2008/09/200809071701.shtml

Whats that about being a liar and a fraud tctdh or should we say sogdia?
There is absolutely nowhere on this blog archive where Michael has incited hatred toward anyone. Search and try and find it instead of just mindlessly mouthing off the bizarre accusations of two sociopathic misfits who dont even have the courage to live in their own country- what frauds and fakes and spineless little turds! Yes thats right:
This is all your twisted construction along with the 'lunatic' and 'fanatic' bullshit that other mindless fools like yourself and your many personlaities have picked up on and now try and bombard US with- as if somehow this is truth.
The whole issue here is to attempt to whitewash China's massive human rights abuses in Xinjiang (a place none of these fools have been, ever).
Since Michael exposed tctdh for being the false little liar he was about 2 months ago we havent heard from him. Now this, which is basically all the same crap he use to post before- what a gutless little coward he is and what a fool to think he can fool people and attempt to manipulate sentiment. He fails, and accuses Michael of attempting to be doing the same. Psychoanalysis: projection of guilt!
Anyway if these fools must try and convince themselves by posting this crap, that Micheal is a lunatic and a fanatic, then im afraid the only ones who appear to be such are tctdh and chin. Keep it up idiots! hahahhahaa!

@jun aka chin/annie/ etc. yu really are sick and twisted arent yu? Michael is obviously not pro-bush. yu like tctdh/sogdia etc are expert in only one area: that is twisting and distorting reality; its really hard to understand what motivates yu. BTW tctdh, yu have a terrible taste in music, sentimental, emotive, ersatz and saccahrine pointing to some mythic imaginary fantasy past which never existed within your beloved zhonguo- yu dont even live in your own country and lay all of this tripe on the net, who knows why?. I mean pictures of Deng Xiao Ping, the butcher of Tiananmen fondling a little girl's hair. That makes me sick. Aall i see is blood. Also Im sure 'Doctor Robert Wilson- the only surgeon in Nanjing' would turn in his grave if he knew a dishonest skunk like yu was using his name. Get back to China and get real or well yu know must i spell it out ...go to hell!

You know, with my posts on this topic, I have tried to be as absurd as I possibly could just to make the nationalists realize how silly they sound. And every time I post, someone always tops it, but with perfect seriousness.
Of course, junao is just an illiterate idiot (he clearly didn't--or couldn't--read the article he is so offended by). It's not his fault.

Ah the wonders of internet etiquette, if you don't have facts to back your arguement restate your arguement. If someone calls you on your lacks of facts make fun of them. When all else fails rant and rave. After doing all that repeat indefinitely.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone had accused Mike of being subversive to America, but the idea that he's some sort of US government stooge is laughable. But to say he has something against China just because he posted a blog entry on a New York Times is quite a stretch. But since the minds of the posters are already made up I guess there is no point in trying to convince them.

that nuke article really got em ay?
There's one thing tinhorn Chinese fascists really hate- thats the truth. especially when it points to China being an international criminal. any one can tell you that Pakistani and irani airforce personel were all over Urumqi and Hotan in the late 1980s- early 1990's. Why you could bump into them in the Bank of china in Urumqi, they were quite chatty. Israeli irrigation 'specialists' were also 'helping' the poor Bingtuan boys along the northern Tarim as well at that time. The nuke article is definitely the one thats got the 'lunatic; and 'fanatic; types like 'chin' and 'old wiseman' back on their game, using several of the aliases above. They wouldnt know truth if it hit them in the face. As Harry Wu has pointed out, Chinese under Communist rule learn to lie form a very early age- it is the way you survive and operate: mimicking the party's ubiquitous lies, so the average Chinese thinks nothing of lying when telling a lie will be to his/her advantage. Dudes like the trolls posting above are so deceived and deluded they no longer know the difference between truth and a lie and just parrot empty slogans as their parents did during the mass murder period now known as the Cultural Revolution. All in all they should be pitied but never, never, under any circumstance be taken seriously.
Also thank you for the excellent posts on Shen Shi Cai ( that benevelont Chinese leader of Sinkiang) and also the post about Al -Qaida in Xinjiang. Great stuff; but the muppets really aint that a lil amero-centric and really a bit hard to take? It made me have a holiday; but on return what great stuff here. Michael your the best and get my vote.
BTW, old wiseman/ jun/ jum/ sogdia/ tctdh: i have scrutinized your ridiculous blog. There are 56 nationalities in China not 57 as you wrongly state. You are wrong on many points. Perhaps you should stick to your Perso-fascist 'sogdia' blog where you delete comments of intelligent people who refute your absurdist suggestions, deny any independence of spirit for turkestani peoples, and enfuriate Turkic peopels by your obscene proposition that there is no such thing as Turkic culture, only borrowed Chinese and Persian culture. You are really one weird little dude.

CHINA TO TEACH UIGHUR CHILDREN "ETHNIC UNITY"
World Bullettin
Tuesday, 16 December 2008 07:56
An outline of the new policy suggested Beijing says is "worried about discontent among minority groups."
Reuters says the new classes will run all the way through school, with high school students getting up to 14 hours a year to help them "recognise the superiority of our government and Communist Party's ethnic policies", and ensure they reflect them in their work.
Primary school children should learn a "basic awareness of the vital nature of 'encouraging ethnic unity, protecting national unity and opposing ethnic separatism'", said a summary of the policy posted on the ministry website (www.moe.edu.cn).
Older children would gain a "correct understanding" of government and Party policy, while those in high school would also be expected to have a firm grasp on basic theory about "ethnic problems" and "establish a Marxist outlook on ethnicity".
China has 56 officially recognised ethnic groups with the dominant Han Chinese making up over 90 percent of the population.
History of Uyghurs
Historical records show that the Uyghurs have a history of more than 4000 years. Throughout the history the Uyghurs developed a unique culture and civilization and made remarkable contribution to the civilization of the world.
East Turkistan has 8 million Uighurs.
The Uyghurs Islam in 934, during the reign of Satuk Bughra Khan, the Kharahanid ruler. Since that time on the Islam continuously served Uyghurs as the only religion until today.
After embracing Islam the Uyghurs continued to preserve their cultural dominance in Central Asia. World renowned Uyghur scholars emerged, and Uyghur literature flourished. Among the hundreds of important works surviving from this era are the Kutat-ku Bilik by Yusuf Has Hajip (1069-70), Divan-i Lugat-it Turk by Mahmud Kashgari, and Atabetul Hakayik by Ahmet Yukneki.
East Turkistan was occupied by the communist China in 1949 and its name was changed in 1955. The communist China has been excersizing a colonial rule over the East Turkistan since then.

Michael get the hell out of my country...stop with your bullshit and if you really care about China..then bloody start to offer constructive feedbacks!
Shut the hell up you bleeding hypocrite!
We do not want to see an American, who lives in China, has a blog to promote East Turkistan independence.
我们不想看到美国人,在中国住,利用博客搞东部Turkistan独立。
http://china.notspecial.org/
This blogger is an American, Michael Manning, who has repeated came back and work in China since 2005. He has created this blog inside China to incite the hatred between minorities and Han people in China (Uyghur minority in Xinjinag).
The first job he got in China was an English teacher job in a middle school in Korla, Xinjiang. His salary from the English teacher simply can not afford him to do extensive travels between U.S. and China. Obviously he got money from somewhere else. Now he works in Beijing since June, 2008. He didn't say what kind of job he is working on.
It is well known in the intelligence community that the blog is the most cost-effective way to spread and collect the information; it also provides the opportunity to recruit local people.
Some evidence indicates he has some association with Radio Free Asia because when he made some rumor on his blog first, then the Radio Free Asia uses the rumor and releases it as formal news. The most recent example is China government provides "free Lunch" to uyghurs during the Ramadan (Muslims are supposed not eat anything during the daytime in the Ramadan month).
He will delete all the comments that exposed his hidden agenda and the minority problems in his own country (USA).
**********
(Reply is demanded) :
US Gov't and its NGOs have pumped hundreds millions of dollars to instigate hatred and destabilize everywhere in the world.
Michael Manning: What You are doing here is exactly what his government and NGOs are doing.
Michael Manning: You are a malicious wicked twisted sick person, you got paid by your Gov't/NGOs.
Michael Manning: You have the choice not to come to China if you don't like the country. But you have repeatedly came back to be the malicious agitator of ethnic hatred simply because you got paid to come back to China to do your job
Michael Manning: The salary of English teacher in Xinjiang simply could not afford you to travel extensively between China and US, to cover the living expenses in between jobs. Where have you got the money to do this?
Michael Manning: You have enjoyed the Freedom of Speech inside China, but you don't want anyone else has the Freedom of Speech. You have deleted all the comments that exposed your malicious behavior and the ethnic conflicts in your own U.S.A.
Michael Manning: Why you don't show any compassion toward your own country fellow, why you have deleted all the comments on the independence movements of Hawaii people, American Indians and African Americans
You are a malicious wicked twisted sick person

You will one day end up in the trash..I'm sure of it...and when that day comes, you will not cope so well

"somebody really really cares about me!...he cares thiiiiiiiis much..." wow...what a desperate attempt to sway some sympathy votes..
The 'crazy' sina blogger answered to various comments and just simply stated his beliefs and guesses...why are you so angry? is it because his guesses were actually right?
his entry got deleted..shame..but i believe he maintained his dignity ...my biggest question is..what are you afraid of? what is it that you fear so much? why is it that you delete comments which exposed the ugliness of your own country USA? you still need to answer those questions..maybe you'll get more respect from others if you actually acknowledged the crap that exists in yoru own country..
OLDWISEMAN posted some questions and i want to know as well:
1. How you support yourself with the pay of a Xinjiang Englsih teacher to have the extensive travels between China and United States? also cover your living and traveling expanses between jobs (the time you are without any job is much longer than the time you have job).
2. Have you got any pay from CIA or American NGOs? Everyone in this business knows that running a blog like this one is a typically cost-effective way to spread and exchange rumors, incite hatred, and recruit the activists in foreign country.
3. Why you are so concerned about the life of Uyghurs in China even you don't speak the languages, don't know the culture and history, but why you have not showed any compassion for your own oppressed fellow Americans back home, such as American Indians, American Blacks, Hispanic Americans, the native people in Hawaii, Guam, Alaska?
4. You claimed you love both China and America. If you love your mother, you won't fuck your mother. You have deleted every comment that exposed the oppression of minority, inhuman activities, the reason why Americans are hated around the world. You have incited the ethnic hatred at every opportunity you can get, no matter it is Uyghurs, Huis or Tibetans. As long as you find an opportunity, you do it! You don't fuck your own mother, you just fuck China, WHY?
Michael, don't be too concerned about who is behind the blog....just know that it is a brave hero simply speaking his mind...heros often die young and get defeated while villains thrive but in the end, villains and pretended douchebags like you will fall harder...
I hope the Cinese embassy get your website . I want them to know just how much you love China...maybe they can award you with a medal or something....

Michael,
About your campaign for the China Blog Awards: You are a runner up right now. It MAY be too late to close the gap, but do not give up!
BUT: Put a Blog Awards logo and the link at the top of your home page right NOW, with a brief post asking your readers to vote, AND to mobilise THEIR friends to vote AND to get more voters...
The "everyday" clause is OK, but the more people do it, the better.
To illustrate what I am talking about, look at the General Blog category; the leading blog there has done what I suggest here.
Again, I am sorry about not having noticed earlier, else you would have been leading by now. Anyhow, let's give it a try. If only to give the trolls a heart attack. F*ck them!

@All Chinease Fuckwads:
Michael doesn't hate you or your shitty fucktarded nation half as much as I do. You suck the sweat from your dead fathers balls, every pea-brained small-dicked one of you, you uber-nationalist underachievers.
Never, in the field of human endeavour, has so little been accomplished by so many, for so long.
How can there even be so many of you? It isn't like the women are good-looking enough to get laid, and the men have all the testosterone of a small kitten called "Herbert". Plus you smell. And your food is ratshit.
I actually do encourage the minorities in China to rise up against their Han oppressors. I do it all the time. I teach small children that Tibet, East Turkestan and Mongolia have never been part of China, but that China once belonged to Mongolia, was smaller than Tibet, and was given the ideas of clothing and horse-riding and the wheel by the Celtic people who call East Turkestan ('Xinjiang') home. Hong Kong wasn't 'returned to China', it was given away by the British against the will of the Hong Kong people (they think you suck, too).
Taiwan isn't Chinese either, and they loved being part of Japan - you would have been better off flying the Rising Sun every day rather than the coward-yellow stars on the blood-soaked red rag you call a flag, but you hadn't the brains or the civilisation to realise it.
Ummm... Yeah, you suck.
Right then, I think that about sums it up for now. I think we've clearly established that I hate you far, far more than Michael does, so leave him alone and pick on someone your own size, peepee-brains.
Have a nice day.
