You seem to have lost your focus. We expect news from the west end of China on this site. Are you ever going to write about the pickle king of xinjiang, or was that all a ruse to keep us reading?
"This is also the environment into which a simple British pickle merchant found himself thrust as the self-titled King of Islamistan. I'll publish that story later this week, but you can all bring yourselves up to speed by reading the article below..."
Actually, the 2nd and 3rd quarters of super bowl 42 were kind of boring, and Tom Petty didn't even sing "Last dance with Mary Jane" at half-time. Fortunately, I had some Tennessee pork shoulder barbeque with slaw that made the whole evening worthwhile.

Damn you and your barbecued pork shoulder! MMmmmmm. And cole slaw. I guess life back in the US is good, eh?

That was the best superbowl EVER! Never mind the fact my bar tab was 200 HKD or I had to wake up at 6AM. I'm glad you were able to catch it live.

I'm still basking in the glory of the Patriots losing. At least I got to watch the game in the US this year.

You guys should have been here, my friends and I went outside to run around and scream and there were about 15 or 20 other people outside on our street, car horns were blaring and lots of other general noise making at 10pm. A good time was had by all. and Aaron, my domino's tab was more than your bar tab.

You're right, I should have been there. It would have been awesome to watch this game on a big screen with my friends and family. But, as it is, I'm just glad that I woke up at 7am and was able to catch most of the game on TVU. (There was a problem in the 2nd quarter.) Thank God for the Internet!

I watched the second half with about 300 football fans in Beijing and based on the reaction to that last New York touchdown, we were rather heavy on Patriots fans. What a game and, even better, what a result.
Cheers, Boyce
