Chinese Consulate

The Chinese Democratic Party protesting across from the Chinese Consulate in New York City, March 28, 2006.

I returned to the Chinese consulate in New York today to pick up my visa. Somehow - during the hour or so that I was waiting inside the building - the hordes of FG protesters across the street disappeared, only to be replaced by hordes of Chinese Democratic Party (CDP) protesters. Not the kind of thing I'll be seeing much of in China, eh?

Who even knew that the CDP existed? (By the way, does anyone know what that red, blue, and yellow flag stands for?) There must be some sort of sign-in sheet or agreed-upon rotation determining when each anti-China group gets to use the prime piece of sidewalk across from the consulate. Otherwise, you'd have FGers coming to fisticuffs with CDPers, and everyone would look bad.

In other news, I've purchased my ticket back to China. I'll be flying Continental Airlines' non-stop service from Newark to Beijing on Easter Day, which falls on April 16th this year.

Baozi, here I come!

I just returned from Xinjiang and Beijing last Sunday only to find that before I had left I had put your weblog on my home page.

I'm so glad I did, and I will keep posted.

So even in the United States they couldn't manage to get a native English speaker to look at their text before making banners?

I feel quite suprised what initially would be the result of search for pla pics leads to this blog. That's briliant.

Voooho..Having been through your words I's like to share personal experiences about this facinating group.

My family lives in northern china. This FG was popular back to 1990s along with other wired organization of the same kind. I guess this's the most pop one then.Even I roughly have been through one of their doctrine book.

This's group was commanly viewed as the latest medical development back then 'cause people ill don't need to go find a doc. The leader of this is somehow everywhere in the universe(amazing) and he would cure them with his unmeasurable superhoman power. Lots of people died, I guess they're not ture believer though in 2005 some FG senior leaders died for the same sake in U.S. The greatest side of this is members are told they've got somekind of buglike wheel set up in their body by that superman and are encourged to check it out. A bit bloodness scene. Poor Hara-kiri boys usually have no achiement as people described by senior members. At least I haven't heared in real life about the appreance of these magic wheels.

I have got personal contacts with these guys and dare to say they are not boys. Just a bit hardheaded. I mean, when refering to particular subject. These good boys me always remind me of The Boxer Rebellion guys in old time, which in late 19th century had a little battle at the same time with armies from Japan, Russan, U.S., England, France, Gremany, etc.Equiped with swords, their leader said the true believer would not be harmed by bullets and rounds, but the deads are due to their own fault.

BTW, these guys donated good money for their master's rescuring.
