This will probably be the last album of photos from my year in Korla, Xinjiang. Includes pics from a Uyghur hatmatoi, a bonfire inside a house, and a trip to Central Asia's largest freshwater lake. As usual, random shots of my life in Korla are also featured... the video of Big David's Uyghur dancing is a bonus! (December 2005)

Out exploring in the farm beyond Korla, I came upon this old building bearing the star of the Communist Party. Upon further inspection, every room in the building is now being used as a toilet.

An instant classic! While making a video at the hatmatoi, I managed to capture both Lincoln and Big David showing off their Uyghur dancing styles. At the end of the clip, a teenage girl comes over to ask me to dance. How flattering! (Quicktime, approx. 8.5Mb)
